What We Ate
A weblog of culinary experiences
August 14, 2002
Bought a bunch of plums and nectarines at the market yesterday, and put them to good use this morning in a plum tart, which is just about my favorite thing to eat for breakfast in the summer.
For "dinner," we snacked on some luxury items we picked up at the market -- a very soft and aromatic sheep's milk cheese (with a Camembert-type consistency), truffled liver pate, and extra-creamy butter, all accompanying the baguettes from a few days ago. Need I mention there was a bottle of Chianti, too? Ahh, living the good life.
